This was my first time shooting at the Vibiana in Los Angeles and it was a beauty! It’s such a nice venue and so convenient for the wedding party…they provide rooms for the guys and girls so everyone is in one location. We shot the first look and wedding party portraits in and around the venue. I did some research prior to the wedding and was really excited about the unique backgrounds. The lighting inside the Vibiana during the ceremony was great as well. Peggy + Richard had a lot of her own personal touches on the details of the wedding. There were mini rhinestones aka bling bling everywhere! Fun fact: Peggy glued every single rhinestone on her shoes! It was great working with Caroline of Serentiy Events! Thanks again Seanny for shooting with me! One more wedding from 2011 to share and we’re onto 2012…it’s gonna be another great year of weddings!

Kathy + Jonathan | Engagement Session | Pomona College

When I first met with these two, they mentioned the idea of shooting two separate engagement sessions (one at each of their alma maters). So first up was Pomona College where Jonathan graduated (their mascot is a sagehen aka bird demonstrated perfectly in the 4th image below lol). We started our session at a Starbucks located in downtown Pomona….why Starbucks you ask? Well they had their first date at a Starbucks and it was the place where they got engaged! Afterward we headed towards a park located on campus where they took walks together…this is why I insist on my clients choosing their locations! So much history behind the images! The shoot went really well and I was fortunate to have some killer light…especially near the end of our session. Enjoy the shots below…next up is USC!!

Claribel + Juan | The Mayan | LACMA Engagement Session

People often ask me how I get my business. My answer is always the same…referrals! Claribel is a perfect example of this. She has a class with the sister of a former bride that I shot last year. When I met Claribel and Juan at their home earlier this year I knew they were my type of peeps and was so excited when they booked me! We started our session at The Mayan in Downtown LA where these two met while salsa dancing. They even showed me some of their moves during our shoot. Afterwards we headed to LACMA to finish up our shoot. LACMA is a beautiful and popular location for engagement sessions…I’ve done my share of sessions here and love going back each time.
