Youkeun Oh l Los Angeles Wedding Photographer » los angeles wedding photographer http://yophotography.com/blog wedding, engagement, portrait, baby, children, and family photographer Sat, 04 Feb 2012 07:01:45 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.8.5 en hourly 1 Peggy + Richard | Vibiana Wedding http://yophotography.com/blog/peggy-richard-vibiana-wedding/ http://yophotography.com/blog/peggy-richard-vibiana-wedding/#comments Fri, 27 Jan 2012 18:02:42 +0000 Youkeun Oh http://yophotography.com/blog/?p=3178 This was my first time shooting at the Vibiana in Los Angeles and it was a beauty!  It’s such a nice venue and so convenient for the wedding party…they provide rooms for the guys and girls so everyone is in one location.  We shot the first look and wedding party portraits in and around the venue.  I did some research prior to the wedding and was really excited about the unique backgrounds.  The lighting inside the Vibiana during the ceremony was great as well.  Peggy + Richard had a lot of her own personal touches on the details of the wedding.  There were mini rhinestones aka bling bling everywhere!  Fun fact:  Peggy glued every single rhinestone on her shoes!  It was great working with Caroline of Serentiy Events! Thanks again Seanny for shooting with me!  One more wedding from 2011 to share and we’re onto 2012…it’s gonna be another great year of weddings!

]]> http://yophotography.com/blog/peggy-richard-vibiana-wedding/feed/ 0 Kathy + Jonathan | Engagement Session | Pomona College http://yophotography.com/blog/kathy-jonathan-engagement-session-pomona-college/ http://yophotography.com/blog/kathy-jonathan-engagement-session-pomona-college/#comments Wed, 06 Apr 2011 07:02:22 +0000 Youkeun Oh http://yophotography.com/blog/?p=1828 When I first met with these two, they mentioned the idea of shooting two separate engagement sessions (one at each of their alma maters).  So first up was Pomona College where Jonathan graduated (their mascot is a sagehen aka bird demonstrated perfectly in the 4th image below lol).  We started our session at a Starbucks located in downtown Pomona….why Starbucks you ask?  Well they had their first date at a Starbucks and it was the place where they got engaged!  Afterward we headed towards a park located on campus where they took walks together…this is why I insist on my clients choosing their locations!  So much history behind the images!  The shoot went really well and I was fortunate to have some killer light…especially near the end of our session.  Enjoy the shots below…next up is USC!!

]]> http://yophotography.com/blog/kathy-jonathan-engagement-session-pomona-college/feed/ 0 Diana + Young’s Wedding | Smog Shoppe http://yophotography.com/blog/diana-youngs-wedding-smog-shoppe/ http://yophotography.com/blog/diana-youngs-wedding-smog-shoppe/#comments Thu, 24 Mar 2011 07:36:15 +0000 Youkeun Oh http://yophotography.com/blog/?p=1779 A couple weeks ago I shot a very personal wedding.  It was the first time shooting a family members wedding…my wife’s sister!  Also both of my kids were part of the wedding party!  Very exciting for all of us!  Diana and Young had a very intimate wedding at LA’s Smog Shoppe.  The Smog Shoppe is exactly that…a 1980’s smog shoppe that has been converted to a unique and very hip venue.  The weather made everyone nervous because it was raining on the days leading up to the big day.  Fortunately on the day of the wedding it was overcast, but dry!  With the exception of the flowers, all of the details were DIY!  My wife also did her thing and made the hairbands for the flower girls and the cake topper!  It was a pleasure meeting and working with Christine of My Bride Story!  Also big ups to Hannah Koo Designs for all the flowers…seriously awesome!  Delicious cupcakes provided by A Cupcake Story (I think I ate 4 or 5).  Can’t forget my partner in crime Cindee for always delivering!  Congrat’s Diana + Young!
