About Me

Hello! My name is Youkeun (pronounced "Yukon") and I am a full time Wedding and Portrait Photographer. Photography began as a hobby and evolved into a fervent passion that I love. The honor of participating in such a special day is a responsibility I take seriously. I offer my best work to my clients by capturing lasting memories for you and your family. Allow me to use my passion to tell a story about your event, one you can share and keep forever.

By working personally with all of my clients, I am able to ensure that you receive the services you desire. I pride myself in creating a comfortable atmosphere, never pressuring my clients, and guaranteeing satisfaction.

Shooting in digital allows me to professionally retouch and add my personal artistry to each image. In addition to my photography services, you have the option of purchasing pre-set packages, which include flush mount albums, enlargements, professional framing, and all digital negatives on a DVD for you to keep.

I met Lucas’ mom at a previous wedding I shot last year…she was one of the bridesmaids. She mentioned that she was looking to hire a photographer for some family portraits and her son’s upcoming 1st birthday party…so here we are! The great thing about this family is that they’re from the Valley woohoo! We shot the entire session right near my place at O’Melveny Park. This park is pretty hidden and you have to take a short walk to the actual park area. I really enjoyed shooting here…so much that I took my kiddos back about a week later to do a short session (blog post coming soon). Lucas had a minor meltdown near the end of our session, but you would have never guessed it by looking at these images. Everyone looks so happy…and hey…modeling isn’t the easiest thing for a one year old. Can’t wait till the party later this month!

Kathy + Jonathan | Casa Del Mar Wedding

We started the day with some getting ready shots at Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica. This hotel is amazing and practically sits on the beach! It was my first time shooting at this venue and it did not disappoint. After the wedding party finished getting ready, we headed to the lobby for the first look. I had some of the bridal party do some crowd control so we could have the entire area to ourselves. We had some extra time before the ceremony so we headed out to the beach for some wedding party pics. The weather was overcast, a bit cold, and the water was nowhere in sight, but it provided a pretty cool white backdrop. Everyone looks great and I had a so much fun shooting this wedding. Thanks Seanny for shooting with me again!

Yen + Liem | Santa Cruz Engagement Session

I enjoy traveling up north to shoot and this session was no different! I met Yen over the phone then met them both in person on the day of the session. After a quick bite to eat at a sushi spot, we headed over to Wilder Ranch to start our session. The weather was perfect and we had the entire location to ourselves. Yen could not have picked a more perfect location! You guys worked it for the camera and battled through the cold weather near the end of our session. We ended the session in style…over a hot bowl of pho haha! Can’t wait for the wedding next year at the Palm Event Center. You guys look amazing!
