Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch

Last week my wife and a couple of her friends had a play date at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch. I tagged along with my camera and captured the kiddos dressed up and having fun. A lot of people can’t guess what costume Ryder is wearing..can you? He has little paws that go with the costume, but wasn’t wearing them. The highlight of the day for me was Ryder at the petting zoo. He has a love-hate relationship with almost all animals. He’s very curious, but he’ll freak out if the animal gets too close. I had a blast with Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbell and Simba! Till next year!

I’m Dating Again

Rylie is now 3 1/2 years old and we’re having so much fun watching her grow into a big kid! She’s transitioning so well with her baby bro in the house (except for the occasional head butt). While mommy watches baby brother, Rylie and I have been going on lots of dates. Our very first date together was mini golf. Since then we’ve been to so many places together! Some of my recent favorites are Americana Mall, Disneyland, LA Zoo, Disney On Ice, checking out new places to eat and discovering new parks around our home. Last week we decided to check out a place in Valencia called Dig It. Rylie had SO MUCH fun digging through sand finding fossils and minerals some dating back to 600 million years old!! After you finish digging you can select one fossil or mineral, clean it up and take it home. I’ll definitely be going back to try the other stations they have for the kiddos. Afterwards we headed to Velvet Cupcakes for dessert! Here are some pictures of my lovely date (she’s taken…forever).

Family of Four, Sister of One

It’s been 2 months now since the birth of our son and we’re enjoying every single moment of it (except for the time he pooped on my leg…2 times in one day). There has been a lot of adjustment for everyone, but I think the biggest was for our daughter. There is nothing you can do to prepare an only child of three years that a complete stranger is going to enter into our world and stay in it forever. For the most part she has been great and loves her baby brother so much! She has her moments like any other 3 year old would. She has mini outbursts, but nothing too serious. We can’t get mad at her because she just wants the attention that she’s so used to getting from us when it was just the 3 of us. So when I have the opportunity to hang out with just my daughter I love it…absolutely love every moment of it. It allows me to focus on just her and we have tons of fun together! While mom is busy with the newborn I’ve had so many opportunities to go on several dates with my daughter. A couple weeks ago I took Rylie to her friends birthday party at Underwood Family Farms. I got there a little early and snapped some shots of her. When I look at these pictures she looks so much bigger and older to me. Can’t believe how much she has changed…I love you Rylie! Stop growing so freakin fast!
