Hwang Family Session | O’Melveny Park

I met Lucas’ mom at a previous wedding I shot last year…she was one of the bridesmaids. She mentioned that she was looking to hire a photographer for some family portraits and her son’s upcoming 1st birthday party…so here we are! The great thing about this family is that they’re from the Valley woohoo! We shot the entire session right near my place at O’Melveny Park. This park is pretty hidden and you have to take a short walk to the actual park area. I really enjoyed shooting here…so much that I took my kiddos back about a week later to do a short session (blog post coming soon). Lucas had a minor meltdown near the end of our session, but you would have never guessed it by looking at these images. Everyone looks so happy…and hey…modeling isn’t the easiest thing for a one year old. Can’t wait till the party later this month!

Lauren’s 1 Year Session | Balboa Park | San Diego

I shot Lauren and her family when she was 6 months old…she’s changed so much since then! She is standing on her own, loves to laugh and is so friendly to everyone that passes by. On the day of our session it was raining near my home, but was dry in SD…that is until I was about half way there!! As I pulled up to their place the rain stopped and the sun was actually peeking through…amazing! We headed over to Balboa Park to shoot some portraits…such a beautiful area to shoot. I assume a lot of local photogs visit this place often for portrait/engagement sessions. Afterward I had THE best ribs ever…Phil’s BBQ. This will always be a detour for me whenever I’m in SD…that and Hodad’s. Thanks so much for dinner and looking forward to the party next month!

Chun Family Portrait Session | Will Rogers Memorial Park

I shot the Chun family almost two years ago when they were a family of 3…now they welcome a beautiful baby girl! We shot our session at Will Rogers Memorial Park where everyone worked it for the camera! It was great seeing the sisters interact and showing so much love towards each other. I shot another quick session at their home of just the girls…so so cute! Enjoy the shots!
