About Me

Hello!  My name is Youkeun (pronounced "Yukon") and I am a full time Wedding and Portrait Photographer.  Photography began as a hobby and evolved into a fervent passion that I love. Michelle’s Bachelorette Party | Joshua Tree

When I was asked by one of Michelle’s bridesmaids to shoot their bachelorette party…I jumped at the chance!  She explained a little bit about their ideas and where they were going to shoot…yep in Joshua Tree!  The last time I was in Joshua Tree was during college on a camping trip…not much has changed and it looks exactly how I remembered it.  I drove on a dirt road for about a mile and pulled up to the house they rented for the weekend.  There was a fence around the entire property with random items everywhere.  The most random item was a broken pink piano in front of the home.  When I got there everyone was getting ready and Michelle had been told that I was showing up to shoot just a few moments prior.  Everyone was so fun and I can only imagine how much their wedding will be later this month!  You girls rocked it!  Thank you for making my first bachelorette party a memorable one!

Andrea + Jason | Los Coyotes Country Club Wedding

Andrea + Jason were married earlier this year at Los Coyotes Country Club located in Buena Park.   The weather was amazing and the wedding was full of bright colors…not to mention all the wonderful details!  It was my first time shooting at this venue and when I got there I immediately chose a few locations to shoot…including some areas on the golf course for some portraits at sun set.  My favorite shot is when the entire wedding party attempted a jumping shot…they did a pretty good job considering the size of the party!   These two are so much fun to be around and it was an honor shooting their wedding.  Thanks Cindee for 2nd shooting with me!

Joyce + Jerome | San Diego Engagement Session

Later this year I’ll be shooting Joyce + Jerome’s wedding in San Diego!  My wife graduated from UCSD and we love visiting the San Diego area with the family…so I was excited when they invited me down to shoot their engagement session!  I met Joyce at one of my previous weddings (Brenda + Eugene) almost 3 years ago!   We started the session at a park where these two frequently run together.  We then cruised around the SD area and ended up shooting on a little pier located near the San Diego Bay.  I had so much fun hanging out with these two and there was never a moment when I felt like I was working…more like just hanging out with old friends.  Thanks guys for the awesome dinner at Peohe’s after the shoot.  It was delicious… especially the lobster bisque!
